Architecture with Narrative. Design with Authority.

Urbane Haus is a Creative Design House that bridges the gap between vision and structure. We don’t just design interiors—we architect the experience of a space, creating environments that are balanced, purposeful, and rich in character. Every decision is intentional, every detail considered, and every project approached with an eye toward enduring impact.

Our work is grounded in Field Literacy—the principle that a designer must understand the structure as well as the finishes. From custom cabinetry and finish carpentry to final styling, we speak the language of the build. Floorplans are audited for flow, utility, and efficiency so that every square foot serves its purpose.

We operate across three distinct disciplines:

  • Creative Direction: Strategic design consulting for developers, builders, and commercial partners, shaping aesthetic narratives that differentiate projects in the market.

  • The Roam Haus: Our proprietary development lab, exploring high-design residential systems that prove small footprints can deliver outsized impact.

  • Haus of Eli: A curated collection of products that reflect the Urbane Haus aesthetic and design philosophy, bringing our signature style into tangible form.

We partner with builders, developers, and visionaries who see every structure as more than a footprint—each is a legacy of intentional, enduring design.

About Amber

A woman standing in a bright, modern kitchen with her arms crossed, wearing a white chef's apron, wide-legged jeans, and transparent high heels.

Amber Bean-Payton is the founder and creative director of Urbane Haus. Her brand and graphic design background drives a strategic interior approach focused on clarity, narrative, and intentional systems over surface aesthetics.

Before Urbane Haus, she developed visual identities and brand experiences, honing her skill in turning abstract ideas into cohesive environments. She holds a BBA from the University of Houston, which informs her attention to function, operations, and client experience.

Amber’s work emphasizes restraint, proportion, and careful material use. She favors enduring decisions that create ease, grounding, and quiet confidence, making spaces elevated yet livable. Her design supports how people actually live and work, offering clarity, judgment, and intention.
